What is Leverage and How it Changed My Mindset?

I know you are in a hurry so I will make it short, so please lend me a minute or two. I never understand the concept of a “lever” until I took the time to read a post about leverage.

What is it and how it works? Leverage is a ladder to success. According to Robert Kiyosaki, this is the reason why some people become wealthy. However, this is the reason too why many people fail.

Why? What is leverage then? Leverage is a tool that would help you achieve a  lot of things in a short period of time. I only have 24 hours a day, I have to sleep 5 to 6 hours, what’s left? Well, you know, it is not possible to do something that two or more persons can accomplish in a day.

If I can weave 24 baskets in a day, weaving another 24 baskets may not be possible anymore. However, some people can weave 240 baskets in a day, with little time and less effort. Leverage makes it possible. Literally, when a person could lift or move a heavy object with the use of a lever, a person too can weave 240 baskets by hiring 9 people to weave 216 baskets for him (24 baskets per person). Clearly, he only weaved 24 baskets, but produced 240 baskets at the end of the day.

That is to say, a person is leveraging other peoples’ time to accomplish his goal of weaving 240 baskets in a day.

Lastly, we should put it into consideration that being an employee, we have little to no leverage. If we don’t leverage, we are leveraged. We have two options and I realized that I have to change my mindset. Being an employee is a good thing, but thinking of being employed until my retirement age could be as bad as life in jail – no time for the family, no leverage, and time wasted for nothing but supplying my basic need.

It’s time to grow up.

How to Make Money Online in the Philippines for Free?

Is it possible to make money online for free? This is a personal story of an online earner. Part time Filipino online earner is making extra money good to cover up household expenses. Likewise, a full-time Filipino freelancer is making a living in the comfort of his living room. The latter is providing the needs of his family without leaving the kids under the care of a babysitter, grandparent or relative.

Do not be afraid with  scammers.

Is it true that a Filipino like you can make money online for free? The term is frequently hyped. I understand if you are full of doubts and afraid to waste your time trying to find a side job on the internet. Similarly, there are lots of claims on forums, blogs and social networks that anyone can make a few thousand dollars overnight. Desperate folks would be easily caught by people who greedily grabbed people’s money. These scammers will disappear into the thin air.

The internet draws you closer to your family.

Despite this, there are several Filipinos who proudly call themselves as online earners. Why is it so? Clearly, they do not let scammers take away their opportunity to make a living while they teach their kids good conducts. That is to say, the internet gives you a chance to draw closer to your family. Would you take the chance to watch your kids grow under your guidance?

Working online could be tiresome but is rewarding.

I have given you the clue – working online will give you the chance to take off your work uniform and put on your pajama.  This time, you can say goodbye to the heavy traffic. You do have the control of your own time. What’s more – you, your spouse and your kids can watch a movie together. The list goes on…

Furthermore, this blog is created for that purpose. I am just like everyone else here in the archipelago who want to enjoy one of our beautiful beaches without worrying if my funds run out. With the internet, I can bring my laptop and broadband internet and make money in the Philippines with little to no investment, anytime.

Lastly, I will use this blog to publish my real life experiences as an online freelancer. However, this cannot be your guide. Instead, I aim to inspire you to try one of the several ways to make extra money or a living on the internet.
